Magna Miracula
2022
Exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum
99' x 175' x 75'
Hand-finished, homegrown, beaded mycelium panels; handblown glass flowers with hand-silvered pistils and stamens; crystal “planets” with reflective highway glass marker beads.
Built from homegrown and hand-finished mycelium (reishi mushroom) panels, Magna Miracula, 2022 is a galactic, illuminated installation that acts as an immersive cave and transportation device—destabilizing time, space, and sparking reverie. Planetary orbits populated by crystal and glass COVID particles unfold into a meditative and immersive cavern.
