So I have to say it was oddly reassuring the next day, on Saturday afternoon, to see the six inflated prophylactics whirring in the window of DoDo, a storefront gallery on West Broadway.
The exhibition was by a sculptor named Randy Polumbo, who specializes in mixing embarrassing personal items with small electronic motors in his work, like the previously noted six condoms attached to a small motorized pump. Other pieces included a rubber football with plastic nipples attached, and a tiny blimp made out of condoms and a solar cell. It was all fairly disturbing and yet inspiring, too; despite the neighborhood's rents, there's still some art to be found.

Well done, Randy.
The warm feeling I get when someone is thoughtful enough to say thank you
for having been helped far outweighs the empty one I get when there's no
feedback at all.
